For 30 years he committed himself tirelessly to youth ministry at the churches of St. James, St Francis Xavier and Immaculate Heart of Mary, where he was currently assigned. He dedicated himself to the mission in Juarez, Mexico for 25 years serving the poor. Selflessly, every Christmas he would journey almost 2,000 miles with volunteers to this impoverished area. As Deacon of Immaculate Heart of Mary, Ken developed a strong bond and deep love for the Burmese refugee community. Ken’s greatest passion and joy was his family. Events always included prayer and sports, having instilled the importance of prayer in each child from an early age as well as the joy of competition. The Mass of Christian burial was held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, with Bishop David Walkowiak presiding. We were privileged to have witnessed his life of humility and service on earth and will now benefit all the more from the works he will pray on our behalf from heaven. Barbara Joan (Richardson) Moline,

Barbara Joan (Richardson) Moline, age 81, of rural Rockford, MI was gently carried by Jesus her Savior as she crossed over Jordan to “Canaan’s fair and happy land” on Saturday, February 7, 2015. Barbara was the daughter of the late Orville and Vera (Harvey) Richardson. She graduated from Rockford High School, Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music, and studied accounting at Bob Jones U. She held secretarial jobs in both Minnesota and Michigan. Her last full time job was office manager for the late Dr. Ferrand of Rockford, MI. Standing at the river’s edge to wave goodbye was her family; Gaynor Moline, her husband of 59 years; her daughters, Deb (Mike) Gunneson and Sharon (Larry) Johnson; her grandchildren, Rebecca and Jeremy Rich, Jennifer Gunneson, Matthew Gunneson, Andrew Gunneson, Corrie and Michael Padilla, Katie and Memo Golzarri, and Kelly and Chris Cantway; her fourteen great grandchildren, her sister, Beatrice Hough of Lakeland, Fl; her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Our combined wish was that Barbara would not worry about the salvation of each loved one since the Circle would not be broken. Our assurance rested in the belief that God would answer her Dad’s oft repeated prayer, “At last gather us all together into your wonderful Kingdom without the loss of one. In Jesus name, Amen.”  Visitation for friends and family to celebrate Barb’s life with her family will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Pederson Funeral Home, 127 N.
